The formation method of knitted fabrics is different from woven fabrics, and it can be divided into weft knitted fabrics and warp knitted fabrics according to different production methods. No matter what kind of knitted fabrics, the stitches are the most basic building blocks. The structure of the stitches is different, and the combination of stitches is different, which constitutes a variety of different knitted fabric structures, including three categories: basic structure, changing structure and color structure.

(1) Weft knitted fabric

Basic organization

(1) Plain stitch structure The simple structure of the knitted fabric is formed by continuous unit loops interspersed with each other unidirectionally. As shown in the lower left figure, different appearances are formed on the front and back sides of the fabric. The organization has great horizontal extension, but it is easy to curl and loosen, and is widely used in underwear, outerwear and all kinds of socks.

(2) The rib structure is a double-sided structure, which is composed of the combination of the front row and the back row longitudinal rows. According to the number of different configurations of the front and back coils, the rib structure with different names and performances. The rib structure has good elasticity, and is mostly used in various underwear products and parts of clothing that require stretch (such as the hem, cuffs and neckline of the clothes, and stretch shirts).

(3) Double reverse surface structure The double reverse surface structure is also called "pearl braid". As shown in the lower left figure, it consists of the front coil course and the back coil course alternately arranged, and can have different combinations to form uneven stripes or patterns. This organization has the characteristics of vertical and horizontal extension and similar elasticity, and is mostly used for forming products such as sweaters, sweatshirts or children's clothing.

2. Change Organization

The changed tissue is formed by arranging the coils of another or several basic tissues between adjacent coils of a basic tissue, such as the commonly used double-ribbed tissues. Double rib weave is also called double reverse weave. It is composed of two rib weaves that are combined with each other, forming a front loop with the same appearance on the front and back of the fabric. Widely used in underwear and sportswear.

3. Pattern organization

Weft-knitted fabrics have various patterns and designs. They are formed on the basis of basic structure or changing structure, using a variety of different yarns to weave different structure loops according to certain rules, such as pad structure, tuck structure, pineapple structure, corrugated structure, plush structure, warp lining Weft organization, etc. These organizations have been widely used in inner and outer clothing, towels, blankets, children's clothing and sportswear.

(2) Warp knitted fabric

Basic organization The basic organization of warp-knitted fabrics is the chain organization, warp organization and warp organization.

(1) Braided weave The structure in which each yarn is always looped on the same needle is called a braided weave. There is no connection between the longitudinal rows of the warp formed by each warp, and there are two types of opening and closing. Because the longitudinal stretchability is small and it is not easy to curl, it is often used as the basic structure of shirt fabrics, outer fabrics, and other stretch fabrics, lace curtains and other products.

(2) Warp and weave Each warp yarn alternately pads yarns on two adjacent needles, and each longitudinal row of turns is formed by adjacent warp yarns alternately padding yarns and consists of two courses to form a complete structure. This kind of tissue has certain longitudinal and lateral extensibility, and the curling property is not significant. It is often used in combination with other tissues for knitted fabrics such as inner garments, outer garments, and shirts.

2. Change organization and other organizations

In addition to the above tissues in warp knitting, there are many tissues such as warp and warp. These tissues are widely used in underwear, outerwear, cardigans, etc., and will not be introduced here.

Weft-knitted fabrics are yarns that are fed into the working needles of the knitting machine from the weft direction, and each yarn is knitted in a course in a certain course; warp-knitted fabrics are made of one or several sets of parallel The arranged warp yarns are formed into loops on all working needles simultaneously fed to the knitting machine in the warp direction, and each yarn forms a loop in each course.
